Embracing Eurovision at Riverstone

After last year’s success, coming second with Sam Ryder’s song Space Man, at Riverstone we’re all even more excited than usual to see what the 2023 Eurovision Song Contest will mean for the UK.
With the grand final being shown in the cinemas at our Riverstone Kensington and Riverstone Fulham residences on Saturday 13th May, we’re expecting a busy turn out as residents gather to support Mae Muller, this year’s UK act. As always, there’ll be food and drink available during the showing, creating the perfect party atmosphere.
Mae Muller is hoping to follow in the footsteps of Sam Ryder, reaching the final with her song ‘I Wrote a Song’ which she co-wrote. With aspirations for the UK go on and beat Sam’s second place success, the excitement is building and we’re looking forward to hearing our residents cheer for the UK.
In addition to the main event on Saturday, we’ll also be showing the BBC’s coverage of the build-up and semi-finals in our cinemas, enabling everyone to enjoy plenty of music across the week.
The luxurious cinemas at both our residences host many fun and sociable gatherings, from films and documentaries, to live events and sports coverage. A popular facility amongst residents, our cinemas’ atmosphere changes in line with what’s being shown. We’re hoping to create an ambience of fun, laughter, anticipation and excitement as we watch the UK’s journey through each stage of the contest.
With union jacks proudly displayed, we’ll all be crossing our fingers and hoping for that 1st place announcement. Having been an annual event since 1956, apart from the 2020 year of lockdown, Eurovision is something our residents may have enjoyed with friends and family before coming to join the Riverstone community. By hosting events like this, we’re able to bring people together and ensure no one misses out on something that’s previously been a part of their social calendar.
The coverage, showing the semi-finals and final taking place at Liverpool’s M&S Arena, is set to be filled with the usual Eurovision glamour and surprises.
